Mamafest 2010- Pregnancy Awareness Month

Mamafest is the ultimate moms’ night out in San Diego, to benefit The Postpartum Health Alliance. The New Children’s Museum will open all three levels of space for an evening of everything mom-centric on Friday, May 7th, 2010 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

“Mamafest will feature shopping, speaker panels, freebies and so much fun for San Diego moms,” explained Lisa Druxman, founder of Stroller Strides, the Mamafest presenting sponsor.

Mamafest is also the San Diego event supporting Pregnancy Awareness Month (PAM). PAM co-founder and green-living lifestyle expert, Anna Getty will be speaking on one of the two panels at Mamafest, along with presenters from Stroller Strides, pediatrician Dr. Rachel Zahn from Mamas on Call, OB/GYN Dr. Robert Biter, and The Postpartum Health Alliance, the Mamafest event beneficiary.

“We’re opening up the festival to those who want to help a special mom feel good from the inside out,” continued Druxman. “We’re showcasing everything from great workouts, to relaxing massages, to much-needed ‘mom-time’ ideas and prizes.”

Mamafest will also host a silent auction fundraiser for The Postpartum Health Alliance, a 24-hour warm-line supporting mothers in our community.
