So very well said. As a mom, I think it's so hard to give ourselves the credit we deserve. I remember having a conversation with my dad shortly after my daughter was born. I was struggling with the feeling of being 'just a mom', not working a 'real job', and of struggling with my new identity. That's when he said to me "What are you talking about? You have the hardest and most important job on this planet!" And we do. Moms all over have been kissing boo-boos, wiping spit up, cleaning blow outs and singing the perfectly off-pitch lullabies to beautiful children each and every day. Those children ARE the future. And we have the job of making them feel loved enough and prepared enough to take it on! I am a MOTHER and I am proud =)
