Cord Blood Banking with ViaCord
Every month thousands of parents choose to save their newborn’s umbilical cord blood as a way to preserve a potentially valuable medical resource for their family. Nearly 80 life-threatening diseases — from cancers to blood diseases to immune disorders — have utilized stem cells found in cord
blood, in treatment. 1. And thanks to advancements in research its treatment potential continues to expand. For 20 years, ViaCord has been providing the highest quality, umbilical cord blood stem cell collections for families– preserving the cord blood of more than 300,000 newborns. Now here’s your chance to make cord blood banking a part of your family plan.
One Winner will be selected to receive the following service, for a single birth, from ViaCord: cord blood collection kit, shipping, processing of cord blood and first year storage (approximate total value of $2,250). The Winner is responsible for storage fees after the first year and all other fees and costs related to the banking and retrieval of their baby’s cord blood that are not specifically set forth in the prior sentence. These include, without limitation, the responsibility for paying $125 per year to cover annual storage fees after the first year of storage, any fees related to the release of the cord blood unit for transplant, and any fees related to the delivery or collection of the cord blood unit imposed by third parties. All federal, state and local taxes related to receiving the Prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries. ViaCord will not award any alternative prize, cash equivalent, or any other substitution of the Prize if, for any reason, the cord blood collection, processing or storage cannot take place. The Prize is non-transferable. By entering the contest, entrants agree to have their submitted name displayed on Facebook, Twitter, ViaCord’s Facebook fan page and ViaCord’s website, and used by ViaCord for any purpose, at any time, without any fee or other form of compensation. ViaCord reserves the right to disqualify users, without notice, and for any reason.
