It’s Fall and that means that in most towns and cities across the country a School Fair is happening practically every weekend until Thanksgiving or Christmas. Usually these events have free admission, and the pricing for food, crafts, and games are reasonable once inside. The themes typically are geared toward young children and families. Besides having a terrific time at a local community venue, any money you spend will be used as a fund raising initiative for the schools, which are usually charter or private schools that teach from progressive curriculums. It also provides opportunities for the pregnant and new parents in the crowd to peruse the educational options available. Or dare I say shop around. Here is a snapshot of what is happening in the LA area this Fall. Since I am a Waldorf parent, I’m identifying Waldorf School events. Another great source in LA is Jen’s List or LA Parent. These are online listings. What lists do you use in your locale? Please share in the comment section below. Highland Hall
