May is pregnancy awareness month (PAM), and though I have no intention of rejoining the ranks of the breeders, I have certainly been there and wish that Anna Getty & Alisa Donner’s aptly-named event existed when I was expecting. The PAM annual event in Los Angeles offered informative panels with leading experts such as Healthy Child guru Dr. Alan Greene, Catherine McCord, founder of foodie tot-site Weelicious and EWG President Ken Cook. Women, and an occasional man, hovered around booths featuring the latest and greatest to make child-rearing a little less stressful and a lot more fabulous. My favorites finds: Plum’s tasty and extensive new line of munchies for munchkins; WeanGreen’s line of brightly-hued, unbreakable glass food storage containers; and of course Seventh Generation’s fantastic new baby care line. I was actually at the Seventh Generation booth, applying the bio-certified and awesomely effective baby sunscreen onto eager passerby’s skin. I was also excited to score a signed copy of Dr. Green’e new baby book, though clearly many others were pretty motivated as well, considering the length of the line. If you didn’t make the event, make sure you check out PAM’s site to discover healthy pregnancy tips, feeding advice, product recommendations and giveaways.
